Brian McPartlon Roofing in Santa Fe. Our company history.
McPartlon Roofing was founded by Kevin McPartlon in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1983. Brian McPartlon bought the company from his brother in 1993. The sons of Thomas James McPartlon, a roofer from the state of New York, they were both able to learn the trade at an early age. McPartlon Roofing started with 3 laborers, one truck, a kettle and both boys doing the work. Over the past 5 years the business has grown by 10% each year to achieve annual sales of over two million dollars.
The Santa Fe market is small therefore the company does both commercial and residential, new and retro roofing. Although they specialize in modified bitumen and metal roofing, they are often involved in special situations that require all types of roofing products. Pride of work is one of the company's trademarks. Many of the customers are repeat customers and referrals.
Santa Fe is a 400 year old city with many historic buildings. It is located in the high desert in northern New Mexico with an elevation of 7800 feet. Strict architectural code require that almost all buildings are flat roofed with parapets. This style is known as “pueblo” and dates back to the “adobe” buildings first constructed by the Native Indians of the Pueblo along the Rio Grande. A classic example is the “Taos Pueblo”, the oldest occupied residence still inhabited in North America.
Over the years McPartlon Roofing has been fortunate to be involved in the challenges of re-roofing many of these buildings. The company has been awarded the Roofing Contractor of the Year (2007) from Roofing Contractor Magazine, the Excellence in Business Award (2008) from the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Santa Fe Heritage Preservation Award for roofing historic buildings. McPartlon Roofing also won the 1st place award for Best Roofing Comany (2009) from The Santa Fe Reporter Newspaper.
